Divided into eight chapeters, this book is packed with great, useful and interesting stuff about Body Language. I like how author looks at it as “another real languageâ€. It was also very interesting to read how your handshake can say a lot about you and how can you read body language. The book is well-written and easy to follow. I find it very helpful for everday use, because we are always surrounded with body language, but we don’t pay much attention to it. By reading this, you can really change the way to look at it, being more analytic and understand people’s emotions better.
This is very important for me as a teacher. I want to know more about how it can affect my students when they attend their first interview. I always tell them that words are not enough. Now I will be able to teach them how to have the best gestures. I can also apply it for myself and get good results from doing it to reading other people's mind. For all I know, body language is more honest than simply listening to words. Thanks to this book for making it possible.
I love this book it can be applied to so many aspects of your life. Through this book i have learned that body language better known as non verbal communication in social science, is the display of an emotion or thought without ever saying a single word. To my surprise i have learned that us humans make major serious life decisions based on the judgments we derive from body language. This book wasn't what I expected and feel the title did not capture what the book was really about. I haven't always been this way, but I have noticed that I have lost confidence in myself over the years. This book has actually helped me gain confidence. Practicing these power poses does help. I have learned to be more confident because of this book and motivating myself to practice these easy steps daily. The book was not lengthy and Mr. Segler gets right to the point on the topic he focuses on without babble. I have learned from reading this book and would recommend other customers to buy this if feeling of lost confidence somewhere along their way in life.
Clear and concise breakdown of body language and it's basics. I liked the tips section for improving your own body language and projecting confidence to others. I also found the section of the book that discussed reading other people's body laguage and being able to adjust your own to suit the situation and get the most from your interaction with them.
This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to effectively read body languages. People communicate with their words and their bodies as well. The tips gained from this book are great for effective communication. As one can learn to be a better public speaker, a better partner, teacher or instructor on reading this book.
