BOOKLIST-This second installment of Gorman and company's series opens on an uncharacteristically sunshiny scene of Rick and Morty building a car for a soapbox derby. That moment, however, is short-lived: a horrid, gelatinous creature suddenly appears and gores Rick with a barbed tentacle. With his dying breath, Rick gurgles, “It's starting.” A few dimension-hops later and another Rick and Morty are traveling to the only Rick-free corner of the multiverse to wait out the massacre of all Ricks. But is a universe with only a Morty as safe as it might sound? As in the first volume, nihilistic jokes and obscure pop culture references abound, but the absurdity of those over-the-top allusions is always played for laughs. Questions of causality and ethics arise, but they are gleefully thrown aside in favor of crude irreverence and candy-colored vulgarity. Cannon's artwork nicely replicates the visual style of the cartoon, from Rick's drunken, wonky eyes to the grotesque interdimensional creatures that pepper the pages. Brainy older teens with slightly twisted senses of humor will appreciate this.

This issue picks up right where Issue #9 ended, and rounds off a three-part storyline. For this reason, I'm advising not to get this issue if you're new to the comic universe. However, I'm also highly recommending this trilogy (Issues # 7 and #9 complete it).The writing is phenomenal; including some of the best dialogue in the comic series. I was initially skeptical about the Evil Morty plot, but the writers gave each character a great story arc. Hell, it's on par with the show's writing. Comical moments earn more than a few chuckles. I do have a couple complaints, but they involve mild spoilers; I'll include them at the end.The illustration squad churns out beautiful work in Issue #10. Backgrounds pop. Explosions and effects are on a new level. All the character models look sharp and clean.Issue #10 does contain a mini-story after the main story wraps up. It follows Jerry and Doofus Rick on a funtastic outing. I'm not a big fan of Jerry, but the short was cutesy enough and it was cool to see Doofus Rick again.Simply put, this entire trilogy is worth getting if you're into comics and like Rick and Morty. Most Rick and Morty fans would appreciate it even if they didn't collect comic's. I mean, come on, it can't be more disappointing than the Sega Game Gear.[MILD SPOILERS:]The ending feels rushed and falls flat. It's not really funny or particularly clever. Which was surprising because everything leading up to it was actually quite clever. Deadlines are deadlines, I suppose.
The comics are funny but the physical state of them is pretty banged up. It feels like I bought these used.
This Rick & Morty TPB was such a good read. And the price was very reasonable.
Captures the voice of the show. A good holdover while you wait for the next season. I'll buy volume 3.
Rick and Morty come through the multiverse on top again! Perfect R&M story and artwork!
Bends the meaning of family around and addresses the question of what our role is in the universe. It was an entertaining read
Just like watching a episode of Rick and Morty these comics are a brilliant exploration of their dimension jumping hi-jinks with some traditional hard hitting questions.
We purchased both volume 1 & volume 2 for our grandson for his birthday . Items arrived within time table and as detailed by seller. Happy with purchase and so is our grandson.
